Wouldn’t it be great if you had a teaching tool that could engage your students, make them learn while they were playing and offer them a way to explore and understand real world problems and needs ?
Then Build A World EDU is the tool for you
Build A World EDU is based on the globally popular ‘building with blocks’ experience that Lego has been a forerunner of and Minecraft currently have popularized among millions of children. Build A World belongs to the Block Games genre, but take this experience several steps further, so also young people and adults want to be play with it.
In Build A World it is possible to build everything with blocks. The blocks take the form and colors of real-world materials and shapes and are made with the finest 3D graphics and built-in natural laws, so everything moves realistically. The game contains neither magic, orcs or wizards, but excites the player’s imagination, curiosity and creativity by offering the possibility of ‘wild’ but realistic experiments (eg. a Flooding of Copenhagen).
Build A World EDU provides teachers with a tool to create learning scenarios with brand new premises and opportunities. The game immediate invites to design and building activities, but Build A World EDU also provides teachers new, unique teaching opportunities. In the game, teachers can run scenarios where students are animated and challenged for collaborative problem solving, critical thinking, common knowledge construction, knowledge sharing and experimentation.
Build A World EDU is a digital interactive universe that helps open up otherwise inaccessible areas of material and create an understanding of complex issues, such as the earth’s climate dilemma and future energy forms.

Support for STEAM learning
STEM education integrates concepts that are usually taught as separate subjects in different classes and emphasizes the application of knowledge to real-life situations. A lesson or unit in a STEM class is typically based around finding a solution to a real-world problem and tends to emphasize project-based learning.
Build A World supports the variation of STEM is STEAM, which includes an ‘A’ for art and design. Artistic design is becoming an important part of STEM education since creativity is an essential part of innovation.
“Build A World is a 3D simulation tool, which gives the opportunity to re-create the world outside of the school. The students can walk around in their local environment and research problems, and it is highly motivating and meaningful for the students to work on something that’s close to what the students are familiar with”.
Co-Director at The Centre for Applied Game Research (CEAGAR) at Aalborg University
“Instead of the teacher talking about consequences they have to imagine, it becomes reality in the game. They can experiment with all kinds of consequences. Build A World affects the learning process in a way so that students freely can form hypotheses of how the world is.”
